About Peggy
Piano teacher Peggy Still Johnson established PSSM in 1988. Currently, about 40 degreed, talented and experienced instructors teach students how to perform and create music to the best of their abilities. Piano lessons Atlanta provide one-on-one instruction as well as individual private classes to help students succeed in their musical careers.
Peggy still has worked in a variety of areas of music, including recording her own CDs, singing the National Anthem at public events, composing, and playing keyboard in a band. She is a degreed piano teacher, earning a B.M. (Magna Cum Laude). She has been inducted into numerous honor societies, including the Golden Key National Honor’s Society and Pi Kappa Lambda (music honor society).
She also serves the community on the boards or advisory boards of many foundations and organizations including the Dallas Austin Foundation and the Atlanta Film Festival. Peggy also started the Peggy Johnson Foundation for the Performing Arts, Inc.. This organization provides performance opportunities for musicians and entertainment for the community at little or no cost.
Student Success & Facilities
PSSM students have earned college scholarships, recording contracts, lead roles in plays, television contracts, won contests and auditions and have become professional musicians. The instructional excellence they received at PSSM prepared them for successfully performing their music in the public arena. Many are also highly-skilled hobbyist musicians.
The educational facilities at PSSM are second to none. They include a recording facility and state-of-the-art equipment. A PSSM piano teacher uses these regularly to help students succeed. PSSM has three locations: Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Woodstock/Marietta.
