Where did we come up with the name "Liberty Theatre"?

The first Cooper Brothers Piano was located in New Kensington, PA, and across the street sat Liberty Theatre.

Liberty Theatre hosted several famous events such as:  a "Gone With the Wind" premier.  Most of us in Atlanta remember it premiering at Loew's Grand Theatre.  After it left Loews Grand, it came to LIberty Theatre across from the store.

John Phillips Sousa, who composed "Stars and Stripes Forever" played at the Liberty Theatre in 1929 and wrote a small note to John Cooper (Second Generation owner of Cooper Piano).

As you can see, Liberty Theatre holds a special place in history to the Cooper Family and we want to always honor that memory by naming our recital hall.... Liberty Theatre.

Please be sure to check out upcoming events at the Liberty Theatre.
