Cooper Piano Suggests Peggy Still School of Music for Piano Lessons Atlanta
Peggy Still Johnson
Peggy is on the Advisory Board for Georgia State University School of Music, GSU DEE (Digital Entertainment Entrepreneurship), and is on the Board of Governors (Composer Seat) for the Atlanta Chapter of The Recording Academy. She works with the Dallas Austin Foundation, Atlanta Music Project, the Buckhead Club, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Film Festival. Peggy released her Avant Garde CD Footsteps on iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon. She has also released a single (theme song) she wrote for Requiem for Herstory “Pie Jesu” on iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon. “Pie Jesu” is on the ballot for the 54th Grammy Awards. Peggy is currently working on the Stephen King and John Mellencamp upcoming musical production of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. Peggy founded the Peggy Still School of Music in 1988 which has grown to three locations, 600 students and 45 teachers. Peggy has performed all over the world as a soloist and in bands and also performed in Maui for former President George and Barbara Bush. She also founded Peggy Johnson Productions and Talent where she works as a music supervisor, casting agent, coaches and develops talent, and is a composer/arranger of music for film. She has worked with America’s Got Talent and has worked on such films as the blockbuster hit Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Big Momma’s House 3, Call me Artie(upcoming Bette Midler and Billy Crystal movie,) Requiem for Herstory nominated for best short film at the Toronto Female Eye Festival, Sugar on the Tip of My Lips which received 3rd prize Director’s Cut for the Black Maria Film Festival and also screened at the Cannes Film Festival among other festivals. Peggy managed sound and music and composed music for Tomorrow Pictures’ 2011 documentary release After the Fall and also composed music for the Point of Light video presentation at the Kennedy Center. Peggy arranged, performed, & recorded music for the Dedication of the Atlanta Mormon Temple in 2011. Peggy founded the Peggy Johnson Foundation for the Performing Arts helping music programs in the schools, special needs, & senior wellness.
Lynn Donald
Mrs. Donald has been an instructor at PSSM for over 17 years. She teaches voice, piano and theory with an emphasis on preparing students to pursue music at the college level. Mrs. Donald also holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Kent State University and a Master ofArts in vocal pedagogy from The Ohio State University. Currently she also teaches music at St. Catherine’s Episcopal. She has been proud to serve as music director at Centennial High School, Lyndon Academy, Brimarsh Academy and All-State clinician at Roswell High School.
Alla Bychkovaya
Mrs. Bychkovaya arrived in the United States from Uzbekistan in 1998, where she graduated from Tashkent State Conservatory. Prior to her time at the Conservtory, she worked for many years as a piano and voice teacher. Mrs. Alla has been dedicating her skills, knowledge and experience to the students of Peggy Still of Music for the past ten years, specializing in studentdevelopment through the application of classical piano and music theory. She has also preparednumerous students for the Associated Board of Royal School of Music Exam, assisting several in attaining a Level 5 (collegiate school of music-ready) designation.
